The Festival if realized under the patronage of
The Ministry of culture of Republic of Bulgaria

 

Organizers: Art Center Stringendo and  Balchik Municipality

 

Objectives and mission of the Festival:

-         To make popular the art and the creative work of young talents;

-         To make creative contacts and exchange between participants, educators, directors and prominent figures in the sphere of education and culture for increasing of professional skills; 

-         To create conditions for tolerant attitude toward children from different religious ethnic groups through their creation works;

-         To acquaint the foreign participants with the Bulgarian history, culture and traditions.

 

Terms of participation:

Individual executants, ensembles and art groups can participate in the Festival at the age between 6 and 18 years, taking part in each genre of the classical, folklore and modern art:

-         Soloists – vocalists and instrumentalists;

-         Ensembles – vocal, instrumental, vocal-instrumental;

-         Choreographic groups – classical, modern, sport, folklore;

-         Painters; photographers;

-         Forms of music theater and circus art.

 

The festival program includes concerts in the towns of Balchik, Dobrich, Varna, Albena and Culture centre Dvoretz; exhibitions with painters’ and photographers’ works; creative meetings and master classes. In the free time the organizers offer entertaining programs – pursuits according interests /sport, applied arts, dances/, excursions, disco, Miss and Mister Festival, festival Olympics.

In the concerts the participants present two items /songs, plays, dances/ not longer than 3.5 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

Within the Festival there is a contest according nominations and age categories:  

 

VOCAL /pop and jazz/

Soloists:

-         Up to 9 years – 1 song

-         10-12 years – 2 songs

-         13-15 years – 2 songs – the first one performs the soloist’s country, the second one international hit,

-         16-18 years – 2 songs – the first one presents the soloist’s country, the second one international hit,

Ensembles:

-         Up to 12 years– 2 songs

-         13 – 18 years– 2 songs – the first one performs the soloist’s country, the second one international hit.

-          

VOCAL /folklore/

Soloists:

-         Up to 9 years – 2 songs

-         10-12 years – 2 songs – the first one a cappella, the second one with an accompaniment

-         13-15 years – 2 songs – the first one a cappella, the second one with an accompaniment

-         16-18 years – 2 songs – the first one a cappella, the second one with an accompaniment

Ensembles:

-         Up to 12 years – 2 songs - the first one a cappella, the second one with an accompaniment

-         13 – 18 years - 2 songs - the first one a cappella, the second one with an accompaniment

 

The duration of a song should not exceed 3.5 minutes.

 

The participants in nomination “Academic vocal” perform a song and an aria by their choice.

 

CHOREOGRAPHY/ classical, folklore, modern, hip-hop, sport and standard dances/

Soloists:

-         up to 9 years

-         10-14 years

-         15-18 years

Ensembles:

-         up to 12 years

-         13 – 18 years

The participants perform two items each of them not longer than 4 minutes.

 

INSTRUMENTALISTS

Soloists:

-         up to 9 years

-         10-12 years

-         13-15 years

-         16-18 years

 

 

Ensembles:

-         up to 12 years

-         13 – 18 years

The participants perform two or three plays with total duration up to 8 minutes.

 

The organizers select the volunteer participants according given material – photo, audio, video, site, etc. /via mail or Internet/; offer cooperation for accommodation of participants; full meals, provide stages, halls and technical setting for participation; prize fund.

The participants provide quality tapes /instrumental accompaniment/ on CD bearers or live accompaniment. The choice of repertoire should conform to the potential and the age of the performer. The representatives of each country provide also a national flag /105 – 70 cm/. 

 

 Price for the period – 13-23.06.2010 Albena (full board + excursion + fest program)

- for 3 stars hotel - participant under 16 years inclusive - 250 Euro

 Price for the period – 16-26.08.2010 Balchik (full board + excursion + fest program)

- for 2 stars hotel - for participant under 16 years inclusive - 200 Euro

- for 2+ stars hotel - for participant under 16 years inclusive - 210 Euro

- for 3 stars hotel - participant under 16 years inclusive - 250 Euro

Admission fee to the competitions: soloist – 15 euro, duo - 20 euro, trio –quartet - 25 euro, ensemble to 8 persons – 30 euro, more 8 persons – 50 euro.

For participants and attendants over 16 years old the prices are divided in the same categories like given above + 40 euro extra.

The price for transport "Varna Airport - hotel - Varna Airport" is 16 euro per person.

For the accommodation of bigger groups there is a discount - every 21st person is for free.

Considering the thousands of bookings, early bookings are highly recommended.


Applications for participation will be accepted by the organizers until:

-         for TRIXIE June - Albena – 15th April

-         for TRIXIE August - Balchik – 15th May

50 % from the price after result from the selections!
