International Festival of Children’s Songs

I. The Festival is initiated and produced by the Million Miracles Non-profit Organization.

Members of the Board: Mrs.Maria Djeneva and Hristo Paskalev-Paskal..

II. The Festival is to be managed by the Organizing Committee

III. Official Festival motto: “Remember, miracles happen!”

IV. Official Festival logo: “A Million Miracles”

V. Music Festival signal – the song “A Million Miracles”

VI.Organization of the Festival:

1.The Organizing Committee shall cover all reasonable expenses to accommodation of participants and by one participant’s attendant in the contest program. All travel and food expenses shall be payable by the participants and attendants.

      S T A T U T E

I.The Million Miracles International Festival of Children’s Songs comprises a Song Contest, to be held in five categories:

1^st Category: Performance of children’s songs: for singers up to 9 years of age;

2^nd Category: Performance of children’s and youth songs: for singers aged 10 to 13;

3^rd Category: Performance of children’s and youth songs: for singers aged 14 to 18;

II.Terms of participation (for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd Category):

Each entrant in the performers’ program must prepare two children’s songs of his/her own choice.

Eligible for participation are individual performers only.

Entries may be performed either live or pre-recorded accompaniment. Allowed playback carriers: CD or minidisks.

All foreign performers show the lyrics of their songs in English.

The participants in the Festival guaranteed that all copyright on their songs are arranged and no one of their authors will have not pretensions to the Festival. The Festival guarantee that will not misuse with the records.

Note: Entrants in the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd Category may also submit entries in the Songwriters’ Contest.

III.Assessment: Professional international jury.

IV.Awards: The professional jury will confer three awards in each category.

Grand Prix: $ 500

1^st Category (up to 9 years of age):

I Prize: $ 300 ; II Prize: visual prize; III Prize: visual prize

2^nd Category: (up to 13 years of age):

I Prize: $ 300; II Prize: visual prize; III Prize: visual prize

3^rd Category: (up to 18 years of age):

I Prize: $ 300; II Prize: visual prize; III Prize: visual prize

Special Prize of the Audience for performance

Each entrant will also receive a Commemorative Diploma from the Organizing Committee.

V.Terms of submission of entry material:

1.Candidates must declare their intention to participate not later than April 1^st , 2006, by submitting a

completed Application Form to the Organizing Committee.Applicants must submit their recorded entry songs (master tape comprising vocal and accompaniment) plus, separately, a pre-recorded accompaniment on the CD or minidisk. Applicants are obliged to submit promotional material (video recordings, photos etc.) regarding their entries in all five categories either by mail or following post address:

Submitted entries and any materials included to the entries cannot be returned.

2. The Organizing committee shall confirm approval of applicants not later than April 30 ^{th ,} 2006.

VI.The Festival is produced by the Million Miracles Non-profit Organization.

1.The Producer may release the best songs and performances on CD and videocassettes and as

part of collections.

2. Authors and performers consenting to have their material thus released shall sign special

forms conforming to international copyright standards.

3. Any audio and video material recorded during the Festival shall be the exclusive property

of the Producer/Festival.

4. Exceptional copyright to assign on the Festival

VII. The Million Miracles International Festival of Children’s Songs will be advertised on both national and private electronic media in Bulgaria, as well as via satellite television channels.

Agencies willing to promote and advertise the Festival in other countries may receive copies of the official promotional material, against payment.

Тhe participation is free of fee.
